Hi, I’m Sanaa

You want to live a meaningful life, be your authentic self, and reach your goals.
You want to get to know yourself, learn from your past, find emotional balance and find joy. You’re on a mission to make a difference: whether that’s through your family, community or a business idea. You want a congruent social and emotional life that makes you feel at ease.

But you could use some guidance. You could use more confidence, more boundaries, and more control over your emotional life.

That’s the journey.
I’m familiar with this path.

I teach what I know, what I believe in, and what I’ve lived.

I’ve done 13 years of therapy with a handful of therapists, psychiatrists and family counselors. Over that time I’ve been frustrated with the traditional weekly sessions, traveling to in-person meetings, and the investment of time to get to the bottom of an issue.

So, I decided to work differently.

I will challenge you during our sessions, and offer you resources in between sessions so that you can 1) do the work with my guidance, but on your own; and 2) not feel stuck in a traditional therapy setting.

But if you are looking to work hard, put in the effort on your own and work with someone with my values and background, I invite you to get in touch!

who i work with

I work with highly motivated clients who want to become more aware of their patterns and how to proactively improve their relationships (with themselves and with others). I work with my clients in a short, intensive way. I give my clients access to me via email or text in between sessions as well as offer homework for faster more reflective transformation.

I typically work with young professionals, mostly people of South Asian descent and with Muslims.

You might have issues with relationships, setting boundaries with your family or your partner, self-actualization, and dealing with cultural issues with parents. You might be building a life, or a creative business and you want become more confident. Or you may be recently engaged and want to make sure you do things differently, and pass on a healthier tradition to your kids.

If that’s you, you’re in the right place.

I get it. Because I am you. Part of my “specialty” is my professional experience. And the other part of my “specialty” is that I AM like you. I have personal experience. What I’ve focused on professionally is motivated by what I needed personally.

Do you feel unsure about therapy? Let’s chat and figure out if it’s a good fit for you.

I’m an entrepreneur and a creative. In my previous career I launched two fashion brands. If you’re here you are also probably persistent, curious, or creative in some way. I’m a Licensed Counselor. I have a Masters from Fordham University, a Fashion Marketing degree from Parsons the New School, and a Bachelors in entrepreneurship from Babson College. I love learning. I am constantly taking courses and learning new methodologies so that I can pass along skills to my clients. I use skills that resonate most for me in my life and that have moved me and my clients towards a deeper and more integrated life.
